I personally like the messy sketchy version over this neat tightwad. Though, sometimes my anal retentive side likes to spring it's ugly little head to bother me. "NO! I want to be free dammit! How many hours have gone by working on this?"

News! I got that manga studio debut for ten bucks. And boy does it annoy the snot out of me. It has potential (to crash every second) but you only have to be committed on working on that single program. It doesn't work well with the other popular kids like Sai and Photoshop. For good reason mind you. (I'm serious. I had an easier time working on FREAKING MAYA than this thing.)

The one positive thing I have about manga studio is the nifty formatting and the panels. It's nice. Of course Photoshop swoops in to take over and Sai takes turns with the artsy stuff and after that Photoshop takes control once again for the finale. Manga Studio just sits on its ass the rest of the way. :\
